ELA RELAUNCHES #ROAD2FAIRTRANSPORT CAMPAIGN

Early September, the European Labour Authority (ELA) restarted their awareness campaign on the new social rules in road freight transport, entitled #Road2FairTransport. Initially launched in 2022 under the ELA’s Framework for Action on road transport, the campaign aims to inform drivers and operators about their rights and obligations on the new rules of the Mobility Package I.

The campaign will run from 1st September until 15 October and will include a promotional digital campaign on ELA’s social media channels and a billboard advertising campaign which will take place in six selected EU countries: Bulgaria, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia (east Zagreb only), Romania, and Italy (west of the Trieste-Padova highway). The media plan has been developed to target high-traffic roads and areas where the audience is present during their daily work. This includes traditional and digital billboards across highways, as well as a mix of digital citylights and posters at key parking and rest areas.

ELA will also produce leaflets to be handed out to drivers and operators on selected topics, including posting of drivers, return of drivers to their Member State of establishment, driving and rest times and enforcement of these rules. The leaflets will be available in all EU languages and 11 additional languages, including those from the Western Balkan and Central Asian regions.
