CLECAT JOINS DTLF WELCOME MEETING

On 5th July, CLECAT took part in the welcome meeting of the Digital Transport and Logistics Forum (DTLF) held online. Organised by DG MOVE, the meeting was attended by over 130 participants. The Commission welcomed old and new DTLF members, highlighting the forum's role in coordinating transport digitalisation efforts among Member States, the Commission, and Trade Experts, including the development of the Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) regulation.

During the meeting, coordinators of the three DTLF working groups reported on past achievements and outlined targets for the next five years. The Commission also announced the acceptance of the first Implementing Act of the eFTI regulation, to be published in approximately two months.

The aim of the Digital Transport and Logistics Forum (DTLF) is to support the digital transformation of the transport and logistics sectors across the European Union. It serves as a collaborative platform that brings together public and private stakeholders to enhance the efficiency and interoperability of electronic information exchange within these sectors.  The DTLF has so far focused on the promotion of paperless transport and the development of a federated network of IT platforms that facilitate seamless data sharing among stakeholders, ensuring interoperability and enhancing supply chain visibility.

The next Plenary meeting is scheduled to take place on the 17 October in Brussels when new subgroups will be formed.
