Concerns expressed to MEPs over Rail Recast Package



Reinforcing their position that a competitive and efficient European railway network and freight services is not possible without separating the ownership and management of the network from the operation of services, the three organisations have voiced concerns that the current proposals will perpetuate current anti-competitive practices.

In particular, they believe the European Council has weakened the Commission proposal in the following areas: access to rail-related services, infrastructure financing, infrastructure charges and powers of the regulatory body.
